Farmers Markets mean Fresh!

If there's one thing we know how to do in northern Michigan, it's eat! In addition to the numerous restaurants and diners in the area, there are certain "must go" places if you're a fan of good food. Loosen your belt and check these out:

Farmer’s Markets:

- Bay Harbor : Saturdays in July from 1 to 4

- Boyne City : Wednesdays and Saturdays 8 to noon June through October

- Harbor Springs: Wednesdays and Saturdays 8 to noon, mid-June through mid-October

- Petoskey: Fridays 8:30 to 1,  mid-June through late-September

Morel Mushroom Hunting:

- In mid-May to mid-June, these tasty little mushrooms taunt hunters just waiting to savor the elusive fungi.    Visit The Great Morel and Northern Country Morels for lots of great info on - yes, you guessed it - morels.  And don't forget the National Morel Mushroom Hunting Championship takes place every year in Boyne City in May.
