With an average descent of 14 feet per mile, the Sturgeon River is the fastest river in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula! Not whitewater, but exciting and challenging. Check it out in a rented canoe, kayak, raft or cat (inflatable kayak). You'll have a blast!
In the winter, the pace slows at Big Bear Adventures. There is still fun to be had though! Winter rafting down the Sturgeon River is incredibly beautiful and a great trip with friends. Cross country ski and snowshoe rentals are available, too.
