Culinary Trail


If there’s one thing we know how to do in northern Michigan, it’s eat! In addition to the numerous dining options in restaurants and eateries in the area, there are certain “must go” places if you’re a foodie. Loosen your belt and check these out:

Farmer’s Markets:

Boyne City : Wednesdays and Saturdays 8 to noon June through October

Harbor Springs: Wednesdays and Saturdays 8 to noon, mid-June through mid-October

Petoskey: Fridays 8:30 to 1,  mid-June through late-September

Morel Mushroom Hunting:

– In mid-May to mid-June, these tasty little mushrooms taunt hunters just waiting to savor the elusive fungi.    Visit The Great Morel  for lots of great info on – yes, you guessed it – morels.  And don’t forget the National Morel Mushroom Hunting Championship takes place every year in Boyne City in May.
