8th Annual Blessing of the Fleet

Celebrate the start of another summer season at the Historical Society’s 8th Annual Blessing of the Fleet on July 2.
Traditions Live On in Harbor Springs and there is no better time or way to kick-off the summer and celebrates the rich maritime history of the area than with a blessing of all watercraft for a safe boating season. Weather permitting, the boat parade will extend from Harbor Point to Petoskey State Park for increased viewing area and to allow for social distancing. There will be no events on the main city pier.
Many local restaurants will be offering a “Blessing of the Fleet Parade Special” for takeout for your picnic or voyage, and merchants will again decorate with nautical flags.
For those without a boat, there are options! Participants can “choose to cruise”… aboard the Isle Royale Queen. This 81’ vessel which hails from Mackinac Island will be hosting a parade cruise to benefit the Historical Society. $100/person includes full bar and light snacks. Reservations are required. Limited seating available.
Another option available, are complimentary SUP and kayak rentals. The Outfitter has rentals beginning at 5pm on July 2nd. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Outfitter, 231.526.2621.
