A great little birding event at the tip of Michigan's mitten, Mackinaw Raptor Fest will appeal to anyone who loves to watch and learn about bird migration. Located in Mackinaw City, just 45 minutes from the Petoskey Area and hosted by the Mackinac Straits Raptor Watch, the three-day event provides great views of migrating raptors, interesting sessions and educational workshops.

Registration is limited so don't delay signing up HERE.

Excellent programming includes five presenters from the Eastern Golden Eagle Working Group.  This coalition of state and federal biologists, research scientists, wildlife managers, and activists will meet in Mackinaw City from April 8 to 10 and invites Fest registrants who are involved in Golden Eagle conservation or hawk watches to attend their conference at no extra charge.
