This multi-use trail is located on the site of the former Grand Rapids and Indiana line of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

The M-119 (Petoskey) to Alanson segment is a paved 7.5 mile trail and offers a wonderful flat ride for those looking for a leisurely ride.

Another 24.5 mile segment from Alanson to Mackinaw City is completed with crushed limestone.
